Courses:

How do I book onto a course?

Use the Courses page to find a course you are interested in. Before enrolling in a course, it is important that you receive permission from your line manager or Head to attend the training. When you are ready, please click on the register button to register your interest in the course. You will automatically receive a place, unless the course is full, in which case you will go onto a waiting list.

How do I cancel my place on a course?

Please fill in the 'Help Form' by clicking on the link on the right if you would like to cancel your place in a training course. It is important to give as much notice as possible to ensure someone on the waiting list is offered your place.

Why haven’t I received my certificate after I attended a training session?

You need to complete the course feedback to receive your certificate. To do so, go to the training event on the hub and complete the survey under ‘Training Materials’. Once completed, you will receive your certificate to your emails and it will automatically be sent to Bob.

I can register for a course, but there are no dates to choose from, why?

This is likely because the session has already run for this academic year. If you click register, you will receive a notification when a new date is added. Check the L&D calendar in the brochure for the dates of all of the training for this academic year.

Communities:

How do I follow a community?

You can follow the resources within a community by click ‘FOLLOW’ on the community page. The list of resources for the communities that you follow will appear on your learner homepage.

How do I upload a resource?

You can share a file from the homepage by clicking the ‘Share Content’ button or within your community page by clicking the arrow. Ensure that you have the correct copyright permissions to share the resource. There is no folder system, so ensure you tag your resource carefully when uploading so people can easily find it.

How do I tag someone in a comment?

On the comment section of an asset or forum, type the ‘@’ symbol followed by the person’s name. The person will receive a notification when they’re mentioned on the hub.

Why doesn’t the area that I am interested/work in have a community?

We have created the communities based on the current Dukes Hub pages. If you feel that your community is missing, please fill in the Help Form on this page to request a new community.

Why can’t I see content in some communities?

Some communities are closed communities due to the nature of the content. If you think you should have access to a community that you do not currently have, complete the Help Form on this page.
